Youth Programme Meeting a Success...Decisions, decisions decisions!Held in Sydney over the weekend of 26-28/7 Brett, WARC Chairman and Ian, Branch RA attended the National Youth Programme Meeting... Discussion topics were held on Rover Training, Roverscope at Escape, Rover participation and support in Scoutings upper management. We also discussed the importance of Sucession Plans which was quite useful considering our upcoming WARC Executive elections.... The Baden Powell Scout Award was disucssed and some notes were taken on possibily changes however due to the Rover section review coming up in the next 12 months it was decided to leave more discussion until then. On the training front the training package was discussed and comments are now being invited from all WA rovers. Send your comments to IJ at branchra@warovers.com.au There is also a new World Scout Environment badge to replace the World Conservation Badge. This revamp seems to be very positive The RA's Toolbox was also finalised and is going to be produced in both Paper and Digital format. This toolbox will proove very useful to RA's all over the country helping the in many difficult and trying situations! We also held a surprise booting for Julie Creed (National Commissioner - Youth Programme) who was invested at a Rover meeting in 2002. Overall the meeting was very productive and was a great opportunity to meet with all the Branch Chair's and discuss many important issues! |
