Rambler's Badge

About the Badge

The Rambler's Badge features a compass, with obvious symbolism.

It can also be taken to mean that the many points of the compass can indicate the many ways in which the Ramblers Badge can be achieved.

It is worn at the bottom of the diamond.

Requirements for the Badge

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of survival techniques and first aid.

Complete a journey over either four consecutive days or two journeys each extending over 48 hours.

The journey must be organised by the Rover and approved by the Crew.

May be by land or water, either by foot or mechanically powered vehicle or vessel.

Must present a definite test of endurance and bring out qualities of self-reliance, initiative, determination and leadership.

A trip diary/log must be presented to the Crew.
